Bank’s MD tells graduates of Action Club:
Graduates of Republic Bank’s Action Club workshop.

Managing Director of Republic Bank Nigel Baptiste told graduates of Republic Bank’s Action Club that the success of the programme can be seen in their ability to adjust to the challenges that confront them.

He also encouraged them to put their experience to good use, challenging them to be active citizens rather than passive spectators in the construction of a brighter economic future.

Baptiste said while starting a small business can be a rewarding achievement, keeping it sustainable and thriving can be a challenge and doing so in stormy economic times can be incredibly daunting but with the right tools they can be successful.

The Republic Bank Action Club workshop is designed to help small business owners and other self-employed professionals navigate the many challenges they currently face as well as those they might face in the future.

A total of 27 of the bank’s commercial customers participated in the workshop, which was facilitated by Indira Couch, CEO of Action Coach T&T. The programme covered a broad range of topics, including time, team and money management, marketing and achieving growth in customers, revenue and profits. The topics were specially selected to suit the specific challenges faced by our local business community and to empower them with the capacity to meet those challenges.
